The service is wonderful and staff is friendly, I think the food is good, a little over priced but good. The restaurant has an option for outdoor dining with heated lamps. They do get busy so make a reservation if possible. Unfortunately they do not give you free bread while you wait for your entree. Bread costs $4 for a basket

This restaurant has been rated the second best Italian restaurant in San Francisco and I agree wholeheartedly! Located in the charming Hayes Valley neighborhood this restaurant is the perfect location to grab a scrumptious Italian dinner before attending the San Francisco symphony. All of the dishes were so authentically made with so much love and boosting with so much flavor, I ordered the short rib linguine pasta. Now I know that short rib linguine pasta has been popular on a lot of menus lately but no way do they compare to this dish here at Doppio Zero! This restaurant is so delicious and vibes are like a local gem in the neighborhood you would find in Europe. You have to make it a point to try it next time you're in San Francisco. The service was amazing too as all the servers know how delicious and fresh their menu is. I highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to coming back and trying new dishes.

Incredible dining experience. The pasta at this restaurant is truly exceptional. I had the Gnocchi Pesto and it was absolute perfection - the flavors were so rich and well-balanced, and the gnocchi were cooked to a perfect tender bite. We were a big party of family and friends, and everyone loved their dishes. My sister's Fettuccine Short Ribs was also a highlight. The slow-braised short ribs were tender and flavorful. It was a delicious and satisfying dish. And let's not forget the Vesuvio Pizza - it was a standout! The combination of yellow tomato sauce was amazing. The quality of the ingredients really shone through. Our server, Antonio, was also top-notch. Even on a busy night, he made sure we felt taken care of, offering helpful wine recommendations and detailed descriptions of the specials. We felt like we were in good hands the entire time.
